Description of actual services provided:

Encon performed assessment of landfills for four largest municipalities (Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas), four medium size municipalities (Dobritch, Blagoevgrad, Vidin and Smoljan) and two small size municipalities (Bansko and Berkovica) in Bulgaria aimed at increasing the capacity of municipalities to identify and implement LFG projects, through increased technical capability and access to private sector financial resources. Two municipal landfills were selected for the development of business cases for LFG recovery and use.
