Description of actual services provided:
Since 2019, Encon has been helping Tetra Tech implement the USAID funded Energy Security through Competitive Energy Markets Program for Ukraine.
The primary purpose of the Program is to enhance Ukraine’s energy security by:
· Increasing the share of renewable energy (RE) sources to 20%
· Increasing regulatory capacity to better ensure that energy supplies meet the demand
· Increasing the cross-border electricity and gas transmission to at least 15% of Ukrainian’s market
Encon is involved in the following tasks:
· Preparing preliminary engineering analysis and Simplified Pre-Feasibility Study for Installing a Condensing Economizer at CHP-5 in Kyiv
· Preparing preliminary engineering analysis and Simplified Pre-Feasibility Study for Installing Efficient Cogenerators at CHP-6 in Kyiv
· Preparing preliminary engineering analysis and Simplified Pre-Feasibility Study for Improving the Efficiency of Kyiv’s Heat Supply System by Implementing a Comprehensive SCADA System
· Preparing the Review of the RFP Development of Design Documentation on Customers’ Heat Supply Scheme Optimization from Block Boiler-Houses with Annexes (Task Orders for five District Heating Systems in Kyiv, Ukraine)
· Preparing the Initial Review of the Grant Application for the Project “Development of the Technologies and Implementation of Solid Biomass Co-Firing with Coal from Ukrainian Deposits in the Boilers of a Wide Range of Capacities” by the Coal Energy Technology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
· Preparing the Review of the Design Documentation for Installation of Condensing Economizer to Recover Heat of Flue Gases Emitted by the Power Boiler ТГМ-96А ст. №1 TPP-5 to verify if the Designer’s technical solutions are highly economic and are part of standard energy saving technologies
